Project: Solartaxi
It all began with a dream. Since he was 14, the Swiss Louis Palmer had wished to travel around the world just by solar power. Now, 20 years later, he is on the way with his self-made Solartaxi: More than 50 000 kilometers, 18 months and 5 continents of carrying out his sustainable mission around the world.
Surprising countries, arresting encounters and right in the middle our camera guy Erik. He turns the tour into a solar road movie. Check out his video reports!

The Solartaxi has reached the United States! Starting in Seattle, Louis and his team traveled down the wild Oregon Coast to California. But suddenly, when they finally arrived in Davis, waiting on the parking lot, the trailer shaft broke and punctured the rear wheel. Fortunately, this didn't happen at a speed of 50 mph somewhere between elks, bears and bush fires... But all this couldn't... |

Meeting the Swiss Army on the North Korean border, a media hype about the cab and an breakdown caused by rain. It seems the guys from the Solartaxi had an exciting time in their eleventh month away from home. |

cause its a no emission project, i wish to see such projects getting transformed into production. I am looking forward for a day having cars with ZERO emission.
