Did you know that Battery electric vehicles were the first cars breaking the speed barrier over 100 km/h? Well that was in 1899. Now over a hundred years later the BEVs are ready to start off their trail of success.A Battery electric vehicle is a car, that uses electricity stored in its rechargeable battery pack to power an electric motor that turns its wheels. Because a BEV uses electricity as a fuel, there are no emissions out of its tailpipe, well actually it doesen´t even have a tailpipe!Dynasty Electric Car Corp, an electric Low Speed Vehicle (LSV’) for the cityThe great thing is, that the Electric vehicles can be “fueled” at home using a separate electricity meter while standing in the garage over night. You even can recharge them using renewable energy sources like wind, solar or hydropower. So they do not cause any air pollution at all.Just a couple month ago Toshiba presented a new battery that can be recharged to 90 percent capacity in under five minutes, lasts 10 years and should be used in electric cars by 2010.
