Christmas-Slideshow: Future Sleigh Designs

One thing that's for sure about Christmas here at the Club of Pioneers: It looks like nothing ever seen before! We have even brought you Santa Claus in a future form - well at least his ways of distributing gifts! We asked a selection of our favourite car developers, artists and fashion designers to draw a sleigh for the Santa of tomorrow. They were told they had just ten minutes to send us their creations. You can see them all here! Have a Merry Christmas!
And whichever way your gifts arrive or form they take, be they objects or just quality time with your loved ones, we wish you a peaceful, joyous and festive season. Your editorial team

Future sleigh...by a concept car designer

Our next sleigh of the day comes from Automobile designer Jean-Arthur Madelaine-Advenier - concept car designer. We asked a group of our favourite designers and artists to come up with a new concept for Santa's sleigh. They had just ten minutes to design his future mode of transportation.
The Bionic Reindeer
Jean-Arthur Madelaine-Advenier is a French designer who graduated from the Royal College of Art in London in 2003. After having worked on several concept cars in the Mercedes-Benz advanced design studio based in Italy, he joined BMW Group DesignworksUSA in early 2007. Highly interested by what will be the relevant next step in transportation design, his work is mainly focused on designing concepts for cars.

We asked a range of creative types to design a sleigh for the Santa Claus of the future. They had just ten minutes (give or take) to design an image of what they believe Santa's transportation of the future would be. Keep checking Club of Pioneers for our daily updates!
Our third future sleigh design comes from Berlin based W.T Norbert - Tatoo Artist.
Biography
W.T Norbert received his Masters in Arts and Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk, Poland. Future Sleigh...by an architect

We bring you the second instalment in our futuristic sleigh series. Being as über-modern as we here at Club of Pioneers, we have decided that Santa's traditional sleigh - with all that un-environmental dead wood and the cruel treatment of his reindeers - is just not our vision of future mobility. We wanted something new! So we asked a selection of creative types, from car designers, to graphic artists, fashion designers and tattooists to come up with a newer model!
They had just ten minutes to design an image of what they believe Santa's transportation of the future should be. Keep checking Club of Pioneers for our daily updates!
Our second design comes from Matthias Hollwich -Architect. He describes his design as
"The SWARM SLEIGH - in the future more resilient
means of transportation will be enabled based on swarm theory"
Matthias Hollwich is the cofounder of HollwichKushner. Previously he worked with OMA, Eisenman Architects and Diller+Scofidio. Presently Matthias is visiting professor at the University of Pennsylvania. His work includes the new headquarter for the artist Takashi Murakami and the Open Theater and and ECOBRAS econic museum for
Petrobras in Brazil. His work has been published in Wallpaper*, ArchPLUS, MAX, Bauwelt, Dwell and Architectural Digest. You can read more in our interview.
