Our Final Show: “Club of Pioneers meets Solartaxi” in Berlin
It felt great and sentimental at the same time: On Friday, Nov 20, 2008 the Club of Pioneers community celebrated the final show in Berlin! How nice that some very special friends joined the event: Louis Palmer and the Solartaxi crew!
After 51500 km, Louis and the Solartaxi crew have hit Berlin – it is the first city the Solartaxi has been twice to!!! We took the chance to organize this cooperation event at KMA 36, the same location we celebrated our Land of Ideas Award event in February at!
Firstly, Louis held a presentation that lasted 60 (!) minutes. Actually, he was so exhausted that he couldn’t even image to talk for 5 minutes… but his technical supporter Thomas brought him a Red Bull, and so he could get back to normal power level and lead much more than 150 people around the world with his informative and entertaining presentation.
Then, Anke and I presented a review of the milestones of the Club of Pioneers history: From the Ice Cave Project, the IAA 2007, the Garden of Ideas (where we got in touch with the Solartaxi for the first time), the Land of Ideas Award to our incubator projects Ventomobil and the Solartaxi! Afterwards Erik presented us two of his amazing videos of the Solartaxi Tour!
It was a great, phenomenal and really enthusiastic atmosphere at the event with lots of information, talks, test drives with the BMW Hydrogen 7 – and of course party vibes: DJ “the artist formerly known as CoP camera guy” Erik Schmitt kept us awake all night!
