"The Editors Invite" Night in Berlin
Club of Pioneers is celebrating being one of 365 landmarks around Germany chosen by the initiative Germany - Land of Ideas. Land of Ideas (or Land der Ideen in German) began in 2004 and recognizes innovative projects and strong ideas. In 2008, due to the leap year, "365 + 1" landmarks were selected, each occuring on one day of the year. The term “landmarks” is used to describe initiatives, institutions, clubs and associations where innovations are developed and ideas are created, e.g. public and private institutions, universities and research institutes, and companies, as well as social and cultural projects. Ours will take place on February 22 at an exclusive get-together in Berlin, and we are excited to have the opportunity to invite our pioneers to help celebrate with us.
We are always looking for new ways to encourage and continue our dialogue about sustainable mobility
, where our pioneers get the chance to meet each other face to face, and have a chat about our topics over a drink and food.
To kick things off we will have a live connection to our pioneering Camera man Erik Schmitt, who is following Louis Palmer and his Solartaxi on his trip across Australia. Pioneers will have the chance to ask Erik and Louis questions about their experiences driving a totally sun powered vehicle. That's if we can wake them up over there!

We will also introduce our theme of sustainable future mobility with some short presentations from Clever
(Compact Low Emission Vehicle for Urban Transportation), Inventus and their Ventomobil and the BMW Hydrogen 7. Pioneers will also get a chance to test drive these hydrogen powered cars down one of Berlin’s finest avenues! There will be music by DJ Pressplay from Laboso Records and a wonderfully strange molecular dinner menu! If you are not able to join us, don’t worry as we will post videos and photos of the event afterwards. However if you would like to come, don’t forget to sign up as a pioneer and RSVP by Feb 13 by sending an email to redaktion@clubofpioneers.com. Numbers are strictly limited.
